The Invoice or Sales Invoice is a document sent by a provider of a product or service to the purchaser that shows the items or services provided and the amount owed.

In the Invoice, you can create a new invoice, view, edit and approve the draft invoice.


Essential Requirement

To create and use the sales order, it is essential and advisable to create the following

  • Customer Name
  • Product/Service
  • Due Date/Credit Term

How to create new sales invoice ?

  1. In the Sales Module, Select Invoice.
  2. Click on “+Add New” to create a new invoice.
  3. Unique invoice numbers will be generated automatically if set to auto in configuration or fill manually if set to manual.
  4. Upon clicking the “Customer Name” field, a drop-down list will appear for the existing customers. Select the desired customer name from the list or type in the name manually. If the desired customer name is not previously created, click on the “Add New” option and fill in the details to create the customer.
  5. In the “Reference” field, type in the code or information manually as you desire. You can also convert previously created quotations or sales orders by clicking on the search icon and selecting from the list. (In case of the Conversion of quotation or sales order to invoice, the reference code will be tracked automatically)
  6. Select the desired date in the “Invoice Date” from the pre-designed calendar by clicking on the calendar icon or click on “Today” for the current date.
  7. Select the “Due Date” on which the payment is expected or select the credit term provided to the customer from the previously created credit term list next to the calendar.
  8. Select the product/service from the list. If an item is previously not created, click on “Add New” to create a new item. If the item is used in the previously created quotation, sales order or invoice, the rate shall be displayed automatically.
  9. Enter quantity, rate and select the tax rate. Click on the arrow key next to the amount to provide an additional description for the individual item or click on the delete icon to remove the product from the list.
  10. If the invoice is created based on a previously created quotation or sales order then click on the search icon to choose the relevant quotation or sales order. If the previously created quotation or sales order is selected then the product, quantity, rate, tax and discount amount will be populated automatically
  11. You can provide notes to customers, reporting tags and custom fields.
  12. Click on the “Save” icon. Click on the desired action from the pop-up box or click elsewhere to save the invoice as a draft. If saved as a draft, you can approve the invoice from the draft tab.
  13. Click on the “Reset” icon to clear all the fields and start again.

Options for sales invoice

When a selected invoice is opened, options can be used to edit, make duplicates, void, print the selected invoice.

Quick Action Button: Next possible action will be suggested. If the draft invoice is selected then the


Quick action button – “Approve” for approving the draft invoice will be shown. If the approved invoice is selected then the quick action button – “Record Payment” will be shown if clicked, then you will be directed to the Customer Payment.


Make Duplicate – if you select this option, a replica of the currently displayed invoice will be created as a new invoice. You can however still edit the details/information and save it as a new invoice.


Void this Invoice – This option nullifies/invalidates the currently selected invoice. Once a transaction is voided such transaction cannot be reverted later.


Create Credit Note – If clicked upon, the selected invoice will be directed into a credit note. You can edit the details and save a new credit note.


Print /PDF/Email: For any document opened, may it be draft or approved, you can preview, print or save as pdf. Tigg offers a pre-designed template for the user, however, you can design/change the templates from “Configuration” in “Printing Templates”.
